Understanding your chakras and how they correspond to everything around you.
Think of the last time you saw a rainbow. The ways that all of the colors strung together in a beautifully synchronistic aura from red to orange to yellow to green to blue and purple. The order of the colors never seem to differ. They always go as they go. But why do they always go?
Colors have such vibrational meaning. If you think of the entire world around you as frequency and energy you start to experience things a whole lot differently. Every single thing we see vibrates at a certain frequency. We see that frequency with our sensory perception known as sight. That rainbow in the sky that we see is vibrating with specific energy combined with specific angles of light that create the image we see.
Our chakras in our body are just like that of the rainbow. But what are chakras? How are they in our body? Chakra in Sanskrit translates to wheel and refers to specific energy points in the body. Those spinning disks of energy correspond with the colors of the rainbow ranging from red to purple.
Root Chakra ( Muladara ) Corresponds with Red
The root chakra is located at the base of your spine and is known to be the foundational chakra grounding us to the earth. A stable and balanced root chakra gives us a sense of security and stability. An unbalanced root chakra
Sacral Chakra ( Svadhisthana ) Corresponds with Orange
The sacral chakra is located below the belly button, at the area surrounding the sex organs. This is responsible for our sexuality and creativity because this energy is practically one in the same. A balanced sacral chakra is linked to the balance of our emotions within ourself and how we relate to the emotions of others.
Solar Plexus Chakra ( Manipura ) Corresponds with Yellow
The solar plexus chakra is located at our very center of our body. Our core. When this chakra is in balance we are confident and capable of stepping into our greatest potential. A strong solar plexus and strong core give us the will to keep on keeping on.
Heart Chakra ( Anahata ) Corresponds with Green
The heart chakra is located at the heart center. A balanced heart leads a life full of compassion and love. An open heart then leads to an open mind which travels up the throat.
Throat Chakra ( Vishudda ) Corresponds with Blue
The throat chakra is located at our throat and when in balance allows us to communicate our truth clear and strong.
Third Eye (Ajna) Corresponds with Indigo
Our third eye located between the eyes is actually where our intuition comes from, a strong gut instinct comes from an open third eye. This is the imagination center of the chakras and opens our eye up to all of the possibilities which our two cannot see.
Crown Chakra ( Dahaswara) Corresponds with Purple
The crown chakra represents our infinite potential. Sitting just above the top of the head, when in balance we are able to call upon our spiritual connection to the universe.
There are more than seven chakras, but the ancient yogi’s say that in order to live a most perfectly fulfilled life we must focus on the seven main chakras like I listed above. All of the chakras are governed by spiritual laws which help to regulate each of the spinning wheels.
Cultivating a happier and harmonious life is possible when all the wheels are spinning with the right force and direction. Many of us experience imbalances in the chakras which correlate with the imbalances in our life. Some of our wheels are barely even turning. For example, if we lack the motivation and will to get organized and committed to our projects then we may not have a balanced manipura or solar plexus chakra.
An over active wheel is just as bad as an under active wheel. The universe is as chaotic as it is organized. Its perfectly and imperfectly balanced. The Yin and Yang is duality which we face. I want to help you identify how we can utilize the chaos to form balance in our own lives. One of the best ways to do this is by understanding all of the chakras.
I always wondered in detail what about these chakras makes sense, and what else connects them! Why do they work? What about them works?
As I said the universe is as chaotic as it is in synchronicity, so if you can catch the balance you will be free. Lucky for us we live in the 21st century and everyone who lived before us already pieced together so many pieces of the puzzle in order for us to find that balance. They gave us great understandings researched on the Laws of The Universe which directly correlated with all of the chakra body systems.
What are the seven laws of the universe? Well, you ought to know if you desire to build your own reality. To create your dream life and live in a life of constant flow. They keep things in 'order'.
Our external reality is comprised of energy, power and matter. You remember that cliche phrase, mind over matter? That is literally because our mind is capable of doing and attracting absolutely anything we could possibly want in our lives but we stop ourselves.
Why? That's the million dollar question. the WHY is exactly what we are all here doing, learning. Learning HOW is easy when we are given the proper tools to create that reality. Our body is magic on earth. Let's start treating it like such a temple by honoring what tools have been left for centuries.
These are the seven laws of the universe associated with each of the seven chakras I have mentioned above!
Crown Chakra ( Dahaswara) Corresponds with Mentalism
Everything we think is what we become. If like attracts like then thought also ultimately attracts like thought. Mentalism explains what we are, not who we want to be. This is why we have to first become what we want to see in our manifested reality.
Third Eye (Ajna) Corresponds with the Law of Correspondence
As without so within. A difficult concept to grasp, but what this essentially means is that everything we see is a reflection of who and what we are. Our triggers, emotions, wants and desires is comprised of who we truly are. We perceive this reality with the senses, which is able to understand the positive and the negative aspects of reality.
Throat Chakra ( Vishudda ) Corresponds with the Law of Vibration
Everything is corresponds with vibration. So whatever vibration you emanate, is what will be brought back to you. Think communication and speaking. What you say is what you create, which attracts the vibrations corresponding with the mind and the senses we experience.
Heart Chakra ( Anahata ) Corresponds with the Law of Rhythm
Like the rhythm of our hearts, everything works in a beautiful synchronizational rhythm. We must respect those rhythms to be able to flow in the state of love and freedom. This is where we find balance. We inhale and exhale, expand and contract on our ability to find the highs and lows of vibration. This is why it is okay to feel sad and it is okay to feel happy. We have to be able to experience and feel what we are, in whichever end of the spectrum we fall in the rhythm of what matches that of the throat, third eye, and mind.
Solar Plexus Chakra ( Manipura ) Corresponds with the Law of Cause/Effect
This is the vibration that conditions whatever happens in your life. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Everything that happens is a result created by who you are, how you act/ what you do. It's easy to put blame on others for the events which occur in our lives but we are the only one's who can bring suffering onto our being.
Sacral Chakra ( Svadhisthana ) Corresponds with the Law of Polarity
Everything that exists has both positive and negative attachments. Although this does not translate to something that is 'good' or 'bad'. Polarity keeps things in balance. The sacral chakra is located at the spot of the genitalia, if you can draw the comparison between polarity there as well as far as the two sex's are concerned. (I understand we have 'surpassed' the idea that there can be more than one sex/gender but I am specifically referring to the duality between both sexes as masculinity and femininity) Polarity helps to catapult energy forth carrying with it all of what we think, do, become and set forth into action.
Root Chakra ( Muladara ) Corresponds with the Law of Generation
Nothing ever dies. Generation implies the constant rebirth. Energy never dies, but it CAN transform. We are in charge of the reality we create which is born again each day we are alive and decide to change rather than stay stagnant.
How do you know if you're wheels are spinning at just the right speed? Ask yourself all of these questions again and again to check in with yourself and your being. Ask yourself these things to keep yourself in balance and in the flow.
MENTALISM: What is within you that is reflecting your outside reality?
CORRESPONDENCE: Is everything outside correspondent to how I feel within?
VIBRATION: Is what I say my truth? Is what I am experiencing a low or high vibration?
RHYTHM: Is it taking a long or short period of time for me to see my desires manifested?
CAUSE & EFFECT: Is my reality hard or pleasant? What is going on within me to cause the effects in my life?
POLARITY: Do I experience events in my life as creation or separation?
GENERATION: What am I creating at this time?
We can learn to heal our mental, emotional, and spiritual selves by focusing our attention on various practices like yoga which is designed to physically align the systems into balance. Yoga is an ancient art form, not simply a physical work out. It has existed for millennia for a reason. Taking up meditation would be another beautiful way to root out your problems.
Self reflection and meditation can bring a lot of clarity on issues which we might grapple with understanding. Mindful breathing encourages a strong flow of energy through the chakra systems. When we train ourselves to grow mindful of the breathe we learn to fine tune our bodily instrument.
